Royal Montrose Golf Club is the oldest club in Montrose and is also the nearest clubhouse to the 1st tee of the Medal and Broomfield courses and to the Professional's shop.

Royal Montrose has traditionally provided Open House hospitality to any visiting golfer to the Montrose courses - whether it is just to change before and after a round of golf or to utilise the Bar and Dining Room facilities.  Visitors may obtain the Club door entry code from the Pro Shop.

In 2009 we created a specific Changing Room for Visitors and refurbished the adjoining Men's Toilets with the assistance of a Community Grant from Angus Council.

The refurbished facilities have been well utilised by golfing visitors to Montrose since 2010 and in particular by the many visitors from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland and the Czech Republic who visited Royal Montrose Golf Club to play in one of the golf events throughout the Bicentenary year or during the week of Special Celebrations in August 2010.

In early 2011 we were once again very fortunate to obtain a Community Grant from Angus Council towards the cost of replacing old draughty windows in the Visitor/Men’s overflow locker rooms.
